is the 04 "4 door" cab BIGGER than the 01

is the 03 to 07 4 door cab really longer than my 01 4 door cab?



Looking to buy a newER 4 door truck (my son is 6 feet tall!) and I MUST have the 8 foot bed... .

Without taking a tape to them both I am pretty sure its bigger. Friend of mine has a 2nd gen and mine has more leg room in the back while his turns tighter with the shorter wheel base.

I read on a couple of web sites, the 03 was the same basic size cab, they just turned the doors a different way.....



My 6 foot son cant sit in the back of my 01. Looking for a 04-05... .



They sure Look bigger... .

I went from a '99 quad cab to an '04, and there is definitely more room. Comparing quad cab long beds, the second gen is ~154" wheelbase, and the third gen is ~160". There is more leg room, but it still has a fairly straight seat back. It still isn't spacious, but it is tolerable for the kids; and my oldest is seventeen.
