Is the '07 rear (tailgate) clearance lamp different than an '05?

I want to add a rear clearance lamp to my '05 2500, but don't want the honkin' big unit found on the tailgate of 3rd gen 3500s. What I want is a slim clearance lamp that will fit in the limited space between the tailgate and the rear bumper, but not make contact with the tailgate when it is lowered.

B-I-N-G-O, then I found what I was looking for, but the question is - - - who makes it? I was just behind an '06/'07 style 3500 DRW with the rear clearance lamp installed on the panel recessed between the bottom of the tailgate and the bumper (instead of on the tailgate like an '05). Is this a factory item, and if so, does anyone know the part number?

As per usual, my local 5-star can't tell me whether or not the '07 rear clearance marker is different than an '05 . . . HELP!!!!

As always, thanks y'all,

RJ

I have a 07 3500 Mega cab dually and the rear clearance light is between the tailgate and the bumper. It is a factory part but I don't know the part number.

Somewhere mid-year in '06 they moved the light to below the tailgate.

Grab the VIN # of an '07 and walk over to the Parts counter and they should be able to look it up for you.

Here is a pic of the Chevy clearance light that I put on my '04. It is a single light w/ 3 l. e. d. s inside. And yes I know it did come off a Cheby but I like the light itself!!!!
