I have pretty much learned to ignore it, but it really bugs my wife. Sometimes the wake from a truck passing the opposite direction makes it look like it's going to leave the scene. Pretty chintzy.

Look under the Cummins engine option over on the right side of the sticker. I’ll bet 3.42’s are listed there. If it’s a 2018 2500 w/Cummins, it IS geared with 3.42’s.......

Is the hood latch and the hood bumprs correctly adjusted?
There should no be a difference, my Gen3 was fluttering also till i adjusted it.

Yes they are. I have owned a 3rd Gen, 4th Gen, and now this 4.5 Gen, and this thing moves around a bunch, especially towards the cowl, in the hinge mount area.

It means absolutely NO.
A lot of people get their window sticker confused.

There was ABSOLUTELY NO 2500 Ram Cummins built from years 2013 - 2018 with anything other than 3.42 gears.

The ONLY option for different gears in a Cummins Ram was with the OPTION AISIN transmission and NO Ram Cummins 2500 was built with an Aisin.

The 3.73 is standard for the HEMI engine equipped HD Rams. When the Cummins is selected as an option the STANDARD gear ratio is 3.42 for all 2500 and 3500 Ram Cummins trucks.
Exception Cab and Chasis.

No, none, nada, elzipo, Ram Cummins 2500 from 2013 - 2018 was built from the factory with anything but 3.42 gears.

The 13 thru 18 3500 SRW with 68rfe or Aisin option, was 3:42 only as well. Only Dually was optional diff gears 3:73 and 4:10

Forgot to ask OP if it was a 6.7 or a Hemi, my '18 2500 is a 6.4L gasser.

Looking at the 2018 window stickers I have saved, one was 6.7L, other is mine.

3.73 is showing as the standard equipment for a 2500 in general, once you add a Diesel look further down in the options and you will see that changes to a 3.42.

My 6.4l gasser was also standard with 3.73 and optioned out wit 4.10 LS rears.
