I was hoping someone could tell me how to reset a overboost code P 0234. I tried to unplug the computer and took batery cabels off, so far nothing they're still there. Any suggestions? Thanks so much guys. I'm going by the dealer tomorrow and would like to find out if I need his help.

I copied this off of an earlier post (months ago). I've never used it myself but I have posted it before and never got any negative feed back, therefor I think it works. Let me know please.

the best way to clear the codes before going to the dealer is:

1) remove airbox

2) Pull the three plugs behind it on firewall. This will clear all codes right away.

3) re install airbox after plugging in plugs.....

This is a sure fire way to clear all codes in the ECM and PCM

Thanks I'll try it again. I did that this morn. but the box was still pluged in . I will try it w/ unpluged.

Why are you getting an overboost code?? You have an EZ which should prevent that from happening. If you just leave it and drive it for a week or so the code should go away, as long as you don't have an actualy over boost problem.

Did that make sense?

I think I got the code when I had the box off for two weeks. The code might have been there before I put the box on to start with. A friend told me that a boost elbow would help my performance even with out the box on before I actually bought one. Any way the battery trick and the plugs behind the air box didn't either . I still have codes ? WHY???

clearing codes

I have had similar problems clearing codes. I tried the disconnect batteries, disconnect connectors behind air cleaner etc but to no avail. Even tried going to Auto Zone and having them try to read and clear codes (they have a unit and are usually nice enough to try for no charge).

I ended up getting the software and cables from Harison. It runs on my laptop and allows you to read, monitor and/or clear codes. This finally worked for me. The cost is in the one hundred dollar range for the software and necessary cables etc.
