Cummins Annnual Meeting

Any Bombers in Colorado Springs that could teach a Ford salesman a lesson? My stepson sells Fords at Phil Long,his name is Mark Minerich. He is always bragging about the Powerjokes. I keep telling him that any bombed Dodge Cummins will eat them up. He doesen't believe. I plan on bombing mine next year,but would sure like him to dine on some crow before that.

I'm in Co Springs, but not bombed yet (waiting for the taxman). Would he be willing to back that up by letting me test a '01 PSD 350 against a comparably equipped 01 CTD Dodge? #ad


I've got a Dodge dealer who's willing to let me do the test with one of his trucks, but I still need a PSD and GM-DM to do the test.

If he wants specifics, I want to do a 0-60 (sec), 60-0 (ft) and 60-80 (sec) test both unloaded and with a 5000 lb trailer. I'll write an article for the TDR and offer copies to the PSD and DM crowd as well. (if they're interested)

If no one's interested, I'll post the results on the web for all interested to read.

Ok, what weight do you think I should use in the test? I don't want to scare off any dealers with a really heavy trailer.

I guess I could use a flatbed with my Jeep Comanche on it. The Jeep weighs about 4600 lbs and the trailer would probably be around 2500-3000.

Thoughs or recommendations are welcome.

Better yet I'd loan a 36 ft G/N with say 10,000 of weight But since they are new, I doubt any would have G/N hook ups. Would be interesting tho. Oh well..... Mike

Yea, I thought of that. My 43' G/N 3 car hauler would make for a great test, but I don't think any of them would have the ball in the bed or the trailer hookups for it either so I nixed that idea.

Still think the Jeep on the trailer would be a good test though.
