Better not laugh there's guys on here that are using those thing's with paper towels and even toilet paper in them. They are a by- pass filter. You still use the factory oil filter with the by-pass as a secondary filter.

Galf Cost is one of the bigger and older oftits, of-coarse it is real. Sounds odd thou, putting a roll of paper towel in the housing for the filter media. Hey, If I was to put in a roll of Bounty, you no the quicker picker upper, would I have to add more then the stock amount of oil?? What you think?

i not trying to start anything with anybody that has these things but i didnt think they were for real. sorry if i upset anyone. thanks for letting me know that they are real and are good for the truck. richard

Waaaaayyyy back in the 1960s, a Bro-in-Law was maintainance supperintendent for the Los Angeles Transportation District, he not only used these things on his personal truck, they used them on a lot of the equipment for LA.

like i said before i didnt think this was real but if it is as good as some people are making it out to be then i might just have to look into getting one myself.

Yup, heard about the TP ones when I was researching 50's era classic car restoration.

I wouldn't pay 500 bucks for one though!

Yep they actually work very well and are cheap to maintain. I recommend a fresh roll of paper when you change it though. :D
