Is it possible for a rear end whine to just subside and go away??? Seems the more I drive the truck, the less and less I hear the whine between 67-70. THis morning I drove to work and creeped up into the 67-70 MPH range... and you could BARELY hear anything. It was there, but I would never have known if I wasn't looking for something! If I put the peddle to the metal it is a little more pronounced, but if I just gradually get it there... pretty much smooth. Anyone else just have a rear diff noise " Go away". . ??? This is a Dealers pay day!!!! :D  :D

Less Noise

I also had a little noise when I first got the truck. Now it seems to have mostly vanished completely. I have about 5,000 on it now.

I was just wondering the same thing as my noise seems to be getting quieter and I just passed the 14k mark.

You know... I didn't think twice when I replied to your earlier post about anybody in the Riverside area, I just wanted to help you out if I could... but... I had totally forgotten that I had some driveline howl (whine) a couple of months ago.

It only happened sometimes, at first I thought it was bad roads, but I'd let off the throttle, and it would quit, I'd give it throttle and it would come back.

Well, I started to get worried... and p*&%ed but next thing I know, it was gone, and still is.

George now has about 27,000 on him, and I love him as much as the day I got him.
