Hello,i've got some symptoms with my trans. and a couple questions. When driving forward, under normal driving conditions,my automatic transmission feels like it is shifting like a 7 speed,it literially feels like it is shifting. I would moniter the rpm,and see no fluctuation in the needle,so i dont suppose it is reacting from the engine. At first i kept thinking it was a bump in the road that would give a slight jolt thru the body,NOPE. Then at maybe 15-25 mph, typically in rush hour style driving(stop and go) the truck would buck. Sort of like a quick studdering feeling, this will remain as long as the rpm was the same. As soon as i increase throttle, waallaa, studdering is gone . The truck has 90,000 miles, the last 30k have been babied by me.

So between the feeling like the truck is shifting 7 times and the studdering at low idle crawl, would you think this is my transmission trying to take a dump or a $30. 00 sensor that takes me 3hrs and a 12-pack to remove. Thank you in advance for your help.

My '01. 5 did this and what I did is this. First ck the grounds on the truck and around the PCM which is located on the passanger firewall. Then dis-connect your batteries for a few hours. Re-connect them, turn your key on to the RUN position only! DO NOT START IT. Clear out your floor mats on the drivers side (so you can get full throttle), and with the key still on SLOWLY depress the throttle to wide open then SLOWLY let it out to idle position. Try to make this in-out cycle about 30 seconds long... . 15 in and 15 out.

Don't ask me what exactly this does but it worked on mine. Chris
