Yep, DEFINATELY true. Here's a link to what will probably be one of the first on the road with a 42v system - http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/stories/gmctech/three4.html - It's the 2004 GMC Sierra. There's several interesting technologies in that article - 4 wheel steering, a V8 gasser that will drop to a 4 cylinder when the power isn't needed, and the flex power truck.
