Oil prices are gonna crash just like the housing market.

Any one have any experiance with isc engines?

I have a 2000 fl-70 with an isc 260 hp that is kicking a "fuel controller fault mode id 7 - mechanical systems not responding properly" code and will not start. It has the odd ball cummins electronic injection pump with a fuel accumulator. Not a vp.

Wondering if i should just scrap it or what.

dsldoug,

I'm not a mechanic and don't even play one on tv. Don't even know anything about an ISC beyond the fact that they are 8. 3 liters and produce more torque than an ISB.

I do know two things about diesel engines: in order to start they must have compression and fuel. If your engine has compression, indicated by resistance to free crankshaft rotation, there is only one problem remaining: No fuel!

I'd guess you could crack one or more fuel lines to the cylinders while someone turns it over and see if it is fueling. If not, must be empty tank, bad transfer pump, blocked fuel filter, or bad injection pump.
