Gauge Bullet Mount

I have finally decided that i need to get a real mount to match my dual-pillar mount. the old can just looks outa place now. i have the isspro 4k tach, i think the package says its 2 1/16"s inch??? i cant remeber but doesnt that mean its just a standard 2 inches?

Here is the link to the tach i got.

2-1/16" 4K Universal Electronic Tachometer

I want to know if this mount will work with it? Is there room enough for all the wires to go in the back?

I bought mine from PDR when it was owned by Piers but you can call up Isspro direct and they can sell you everything you need to install it and get it working.

thanks chris, ill check PDR then if i have no luck still, ill call Isspro. the tach works great. ive had if for some time now, but i mounted it in a Cheerwine can, so i would like to get it to look a little more factory.

Factory look? It's a 15 year old truck. Here's what you do. Crank all the screws down until they strip and get real loose so they rattle and fall out. Strip all the pant off the can, throw it in a mud puddle, and reinstall it. The ball up about 25ft of wire, tape it up, and then let it hang out the back of the can. There you go, early 90's style 'factory' look.

I'm just messin with you, Jimmy. I'd look at the Autometer website. They have about 1000 different ways to mount gauges. I'd assume if its the same OD gauge it would still fit between brands for most style mounts.

hahhhahah, when you put i that way..... :-laf

ill check their site. howd you mount yours matt? what im worried bout is that ill order one, that doesnt have a good way to secure the tach inside of it. nothin i hate more than a rattling tach that twists sideways due to excesive rpms. :-laf

I used some of that same T304 mirror finish stainless that I used to patch up my rocker panel. I cut out a template, drilled 3 holes with a hole saw, bent it up with a locking pliers and some wood and screwed it together into a box. I still need to make a cover for it the same way I made the actual box that holes the gauges, but it looks alright so far.

hmm thats a good idea. ive thought about getting some pvc and caping off one end and then painting it black, making a mount out of it, but i would have to find just the right size.

cguthrie... YES! thats the one. id love some pictures of it. ive considered the column mount, but i have a dual pillar gauge already above the tach i have mounted underneath. so if i mount the tach on the column ill have a gap between my gauges and my dash. so i need to keep it on the dash under the pillar mount.

great! thanks. where did you find that mount? do you possibly have any shots of the side and mabye the back of it through the windshild. im just trying to picture how the tach itself actuall mounts inside it.

thanks a bunch
