After reading TDR issue 28, I am thinking of ordering the ISSPRO combo gauge and bullet or pillar mount from Geno's. I am just not sure how easy the combo gauge is to read, or which mount to go with. Anyone out there with this setup? How do you like it?

I looked at the combo but am told old to squint that much. I went with the ISSPRO EGT & Boost gauges in the Gauge Works "A" pillar dual-guage mount. Works great and looks good.

A location I hardly ever hear mentioned- I put mine in the cupholder recess using a standard gauge mounting panel.

Can't close the cupholder anymore, but it is unobtrusive.

I'm talking separate gauges; a combo would probably be hard to read at that distance.

FWIW.

I agree with lembaar! The combination gauge was too small to see clearly, especially if you take a quick peek. I went with the dual pillar mount with separate EGT and Boost dials. I also spray painted the pillar to match my interior trim (gray). Paint is available from Mopar. Has a factory look.

I've got that SPA digital combo gauge and will be installing it in the dashboard hole. Being backlit it is real easy to read. The peak hold button makes up for not having my eyes on the gauge (as if on the pillar).

Currently it is sitting in my ashtray while I finish cleaning up the wiring. I have no problem reading it as I drive.

TomB -

You wouldn't belive what I went through with my Dodge dealer regarding interior paint.

The local dealer said they didn't carry it, could order it and needed the trim code. No problem. Thought I'd call the dealer where I purchased it since I was heading that way. Parts guy #1 says, I need the VIN. Can't imagine what for, but hey, I can find that too.

Call back, parts guy #2 says, "We can't order interior paint. It isn't available. " I started to really launch but my wife said she liked it black to match the rest of the trim.

Some of them haven't got a clue.

David_VT - I looked at the SPA gauge on their website and called for a price. In the end, I had to go with what I can see. You probably have much better eyesight than I do at this stage. Started going South on me at 40. Don't expect it'll be getting any better. They're not too bad but can't read without them. Distance is ok but the gauge would be in the "glasses" zone for me on the "A" pillar.

The SPA is a really trick gauge. Glad its working well for you. Professional quality.
