Finally got adound to getting some of the gauges in the new 01 today, and my ISSPRO EGT guage won't budge. It did this to me once before with my 96', and right about the time I was getting ready yo send it back, it started working and has worked ever since.

I can hear the amp box whining so I know its getting power, all connections appear to be good. I don't know if the way the excess wire is coiled can make a difference or not, have not had the time to check it. I also heard that the depth of the fitting in the manifold is real important?? How and why is that so??

Any suggestions on what to check before I start ordering new parts??

I just installed mine last week. (all ISSPRO) and yesterday the EGT stopped working.

I pulled the pillar cover off and pulled the wires up. I left everything hanging and started the truck.

I noticed if I wiggled the 4 wire harness the needle would jump.

I pulled the connecter apart, looked OK. Needle still not correct.

After closer inspection I removed the white wire from the harness side, coming from the box, and found that the factory crimp was not done correctly. I recrimped the copper wire part of the crimp, slid it back into the connecter and viola. It works perfectly.

So, hold the plug securely, pair of needle nose, pull on each wire on both sides of the plug. You may just find what I did.

Good luck.

Had the same problem. Found the crimp on one of the wires attached the the gauge not makeing good connection. I just soldered the crimps and it has worked fine since. :)
