I ordered my ISSPRO EV boost and Exh. temp. gauges back in May from DIS and kept checking their website every now and then only to find out that they are still in production or something else like working the bugs out of them. I checked again last week and now they're supposed to be dropped shipped from ISSPRO and everyone should have them by the end of October. This is only for the plain faced gauges. Well It's the end of the month and I am getting a bit antsy and wonder if anyone has gotten theirs or are you in the same boat as me?I have put about 18,000 more miles on my truck since I ordered them and pretty soon I'll have to resort to some other means for gauges. I have a new fuel pressure gauge already and want to put all three in at the same time. anyone else want to chime in here?

Isspro gauges

Bob,

I do kinda like this style of gauge but yes I know 5 months is an awful long time. I'm going to wait and see what happens here in the next week and if they don't show up at my doorstep I will call DIS and find out what the poop is. Just about ready to can this idea and go with all Autometer gauges. :(

I ordered my Isspro EVA pyro in July direct from Isspro. I recieved it 10/24. Before they shipped they called and asked if it was ok to ship with the preproduction installation directions. The gauges should be distributed real soon. The Pyro works great and is more responsive than the one I replaced

Autometer is not a good idea

I've had my Autometer gauges almost a year now and am gonna can them for the Isspro ev's... ... as soon as the full pillar pod comes from Genos. Autowurks has just received a bulk shipment of Boost, Pyro, Transmission Temp, and Manifold Pressure gauges in the EV lineup. There were production problems, be thankful you didn't get the first batch. The Autometers are very poor in boost readings. I've compared them to two other gauges and they're much slower in boost response and at the 50 psi level, are around 7 psi off in calibration. Besides, the ultralite series is terribly bright at night, whereas the EVs match the dash almost perfectly. Hang on, they're arriving!

Isspro

Hi Phil,

They are worth the wait. I have the fuel pressure and manifold pressure gauge in and waiting on the colored pyro. The lighting is great, the numbers are lit. The pyrometers should ship direct from Isspro in Oregon. Sam

Bob, do you have anything constructive to add  ?

Words of encouragement!!!

Thanks for the positive replies. I will wait and see when they come. I did a LOT of comparisons between Isspro and autometer as well as the other brands, and I believe I made a good choice;)

Yeah Bob, what's the deal? LOL!

Thanks again !

my roommate at college has preordered the EV gauges from DIS a few months back for his phord flowerstroke and he has kept up on calling DIS. he just called today and they said that they SHOULD ship this week or early next and should take like 5-7 bussiness days (dont quote me, i heard this second hand) but the reason that there was a hold on the colored pyro was that the test gauges had interference from cb radios causing misreadings but everything is worked out from what i have heard from my buddy. hope these gauges are worth this wait, i have autometer sportcomps and am completely satisfied with them, boost spools up quickly and an autometer rep told me that if anythign went wrong to send the gauge back for a test and possible replacment, good luck to all.

I just finished installing the EV pyro, and boost gauges. the lighting is an incredible improvement. The boost gauge is 0-60 instead of 0-50.

The EV pyro reads higher than my previous Isspro pyro. I will have to look into that situation tomorrow.

About time.....

Tried to lay my hands on an EV pyro when I originally ordered my gauges. Boost gauge was no problem-but I ended up with a standard pyro. And I hate it! Probably reads OK-but the lighting sucks. And they don't make an electric fuel pressure gauge in the EV line-God I wish they did... .

So it may be time for me to fire off an e-mail to Isspro to see if I can lay hands on an EV pyro...

EV Gauges

JHansen,

Yeah, I found no electric fuel pressure either in th EV line so had to settle for the Autometer #2661 elec. fuel press. Twas a bit pricey but got it and now waiting on the Isspros. It was the closest thing I could find that would match up to the others and the dash also. I also ordered a full pillar less tweeter from DIS so should have everything in my hands soon!Looks like It's going to be a good winter project!LOL:rolleyes:

Good Day to all,

Phil

Woo Hoo!

I too patiently waiting for the EV series. I have a reliable injection pump so don't need an electric fuel pressure gauge.

My Birthday is this month. I know what I'm buying for my present!

Guages are in!

Phil,

Received the EV pyro from Oregon today. Nice unit. Got the transmission temp and boost last week. I too ordered from DIS. Great bunch! Understand the problem with the pyro was a RFI bug they had to work out. Looking at the outer case on the guage, it appears to be made in India. Perhaps there was a problem in the line there. They're on their way!

Getting Psyched

I see some have gotten theirs already. I'm all the way on the east coast so it may be a few more days. Got done installing the electric fuel pressure module just a few hours ago and all I have to do now is get the tapped banjo bolt from Genos garage and hook up the gauge and should be set. I'll have to acquire a right angle drill motor when it comes time to install the pyro. Maybe the rental store would have one. Well that's it for now guys.

I'm looking forward to the meet in Glen Burnie on 11/10/01.

See Ya!

I got my plain face pyro directly from Isspro on 10/24. When I talked to Kelly she said the color faced would be about 2 weeks later, so that would be this week.
