Hello All,

Does Isspro make an electronic fuel pressure guage in the EV Series?

Im looking for one to match my others w/ the black background & Illuminated Orange needle.

Where can I get one?

Thanks in advance.

Shortshift,

I installed the Isspro EV mechanical fuel pressure gauge and am very happy with it... no leaks after 10 months of use.

Check with Rod at wildcatdiesel.com and he'll set you up with what you need.

The ones I installed, boost, EGT, and fuel pressure, have the orange needle, look just like the factory gauges in my truck... the pictures on the website are misleading.

I bought mine last year, but still available with orange needle. Get the blue covers that slip over the gauge lights... looks just like factory lighting color.

Bingo!

Thanks for the info everyone. .

This is beautiful

I agree, the Isspros w/ the orange needle & blue or green bulb covers make a nice match to the factory gauges.

Clarify for me... I thought Shortshift was looking for an ELECTRIC EV gauge matching his others. What I see suggested above is the MECHANICAL version.

Is this correct?

I still don't think Isspro makes an ELECTRIC gauge for fuel pressure... PERIOD.

Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'd LOVE to have a matching ELECTRIC Isspro EV fuel pressure gauge myself!

You are correct. That project was officially scraped last year, and will likely never happen. Not enough interest, and they were having problems developing a reliable sender that would hold up to diesel.

A Bummer on that!!! Thanks Kev for the info.

Does anyone know if they have a mechanical gauge with less range than the 0-30? Say 0-20?

Isspro is happy to make a custom guage for you. I talked to them about mine and they offered to change the needle color for an extra 20 bucks when you buy the guage.

Call them and tell them what you want. They can make some changes for you.

Ok, I ended up ordering an EV mechanical gauge. Also ordered the braided SS line to go direct from the VP Schrader valve to the gauge.

I chose this route for simplicity.

Ive heard in-line isolators can be unreliable, and alot of people that had isolators, ended up going direct to the gauge sooner or later anyways.

I would have preferred to keep the fuel out of the cockpit though.

Any opinions on what is better, using an isolator, or going direct?

I guess it depends on who you ask. I've not had any problems with mine (isolator on EV Mech Gauge), although a friend has the exact same isolater, different mech gauge (Diprocal) and his leaked past the isolator and caused his gauge to have problems. No leak in the cab though. I'm still liking the isolator though. Just one more measure of protection. Regardless of what you do, make sure to put a needle valve or similar in to be able to shut the gauge feed off if necessary. It also acts as a snubber, and can extend the life of the isolator and gauge.

Shortshift,

Go direct! If installed correctly, you won't experience any problems. Most of the gauges in our power plant are mechanical and have not leaked for 19 years. Of course, we perform preventative maintenance to circumvent this issue.

Might want to consider connecting to the filter housing with fuel line, lots of people end up there eventually.

And yes, use the green bulb cover... I misspoke on earlier reply.

Good luck!

Tnx Dwayne,

After re-thinking this, I did order the isolator.

Going to at least give it a try, and see how long it lasts. Can always go direct in the future if/when the isolator fails.

Just dont like the idea of fuel in the cab. Theres gotta be a better way, or have to see it for myself anyways.

Shortshift,

Understand the concern as I debated too. Most important thing is you have a fuel pressure gauge... longevity/reliability is really a secondary issue. If the truck doesn't run, the gauge isn't going to work anyway. Good luck.
