I just installed all my gauges last week and everything seemed o. k. , until a few days ago. My fuel gauge dropped to zero all of sudden. There were no drive problems and the truck still ran great so it is not the truck. It seemed to work intermitantly for a day or so and now nothing. My question is whether there is a common mistake made during install that I should check first. I filled about 75% of the line (from the isolator) with antifreeze and have no leaks. Any help would be appreciated.

Remove isolator and put in a needle valve and just crack it open... Most of the isolators on the market are not worth the money you pay for them. .

Thanks guys, when I originally installed it I must not have done a very good job bleeding it. I originally cut the line at the top of the A-pillar and filled it up with antifreeze using a syringe, well the air I left in it was causing the problem. I originally was under the impression that a small amount of air was o. k. , however my idea of a small amount was WAY off. I did not want to have to bleed it from the back of the gauge because I installed the windshield mount and it is a p. i. t. a. to take apart; however I had to take it apart and bleed it 5 more times before I got all the air(or at least 99%) out. Each time I would put it back together I would start it and get a good 7 or 8 p. s. i reading then as I drove it around, it would fall back, but it would take 4 or 5 miles of driving. After the first time I bled it, it fell back to 2, then after another attempt to 3 and so on until I finally stopped with a read of 9. 5 at idle, 8. 5 -9. 0 at cruise, and 6 at wot. I think this is a normal reading (if not please chime in). Thanks again, TDR is a great source of info.

By the way, thanks Craig, I also called your guys (because I got all of my stuff through you) and they said the exact same thing, your guys are very helpful and patient.
