Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) isspro fuel gauge?

Is anyone running their mech, fuel pressure gauge without an isolator, and will it harm the gauge? I know about the risks with fuel in the cab. I am planning on putting a shut off valve at the banjo fitting in case I developed a leak. I have read that the isolators just don't hold up. Thanks, Gregg

Yeah, I'm running the 30psi. version without an isolator. It'll buzz if you don't put a snubber inline. Use about a 5 micron snubber.

I'm running mine out of the banjo bolt through a needle valve and 18" of 1/4" fuel hose to 1/8" soft copper into the cab. No problems with leaks, noise or vibrations.

I had mine T ed inline with my FASS hose with a stainless braided line and never had a problem with leaks, you should be fine that way unless you go to the drag strip they wont let you race if they see it

It's just a fitting with a piece of sintered bronze or other materials that take the pulses out of fluid under pressure which is what is causing the gauge to fluctuate or make noise. They're available at most hydraulic shops.
