Anyone out there running Isspro FP Gauge? I'm tired of the standard 0-15 gauges, so I figured I'd replace it with the Isspro 0-30 gauge to match the rest of my Isspro gauges. The problem is Randy at Diesel Injection Service said Isspro told him their FP gauge is not compatible with the Autometer Isolator and Isspro does not market an isolator at this time. Why wouldn't a mechanical pressure gauge be compatible with an mechanical isolator? It does not make sense to me, unless it is just that the isolator has -4AN and the Isspro FP gauges has a different fitting, big deal use an adaptor. Any thoughts?

An isolator is an isolator, the fittings may differ...

Though I don't feel an isolator is necessary with diesel I do feel some of you are getting ripped off with the prices I've seen auto parts outfits selling them for, close to a hundred bucks. Gauge isolators are a common item on agricultural sprayers, most ag equipment dealers will sell you one for around $25, it will be 1/4" NPT though.

Jerryrigg..... illlflem is right, however, if you use an autometer isolater, make sure it can handle the 30+ lbs. of pressure... The current one that autometer sells with their fuel pressure gauage is only good to 16 lbs.
