I'd like them to match the dash lights and the green hue. Can't I just paint these little bulbs green? Doesn't appear that isspro offers colored bulbs. Or can I go down to Radio Shack and get green bulbs?

that's it for now!

Thanks!

IssPro does offer bulb covers that will in effect, change the lighting of the bulbs... I don't have the info. with me, someone out there should?

You actually need blue not green, I stuck the bases through a piece of cardboard and used a very light coat of blue spray paint, it turned out ok.

Hi MBlackburn,

Yes, Isspro does sell the colored bulb covers. With the EV series the Pyro and Trans temp use the T-5 size bulb, 2 each. The Boost gauges use the T-10 bulb, 1 each. Make sure you get the right size bulb covers for the bulbs. We stock them so if you need 'em let me know.

I have seen some bulb covers at the Pilot truckstops. Don't recall if they have ones for the tiny bulbs that the EV series gauges use.

I tried the blue covers from isspro, and found using only one cover was not enough, and they still looked white. Added a second cover on top of the first, and they were blue, but were way too dark.

Ended up going w/ one green cover per bulb, and they look great. They dont match exactly, but definitely acceptable, and the green is easier to read at night.

You could probably try painting them like said above, and w/ some experimenting, might give you the color you want.

Hey guys,

Went through the same trials and tribulations with my EVs. I found stacking the green and blue bulb covers makes a great match to the instrument (dash) lighting.

As already stated, the boost and fuel pressure gauges use one T-10, and the pyro uses two T-5s.

Can get then directly from Isspro for $1. 08 a piece.

Mike,

You're welcome.

If you order blue covers, you'll get two pair... we'll, to my surprise, I did. If you're after a blue light, one blue cover won't get it, you need two. So spread the wealth if you don't use the other pair.

I ordered two sets of blue covers (one for a friend) and ended up with four sets. Fortunately I have another friend doing a gauge install... now I'm down to one extra set.

You'll like the look...

Proper Green Color

To match the dash lights on my 2001 I ditched the little bulb covers (too light of a green for my eye) and replaced the clear bulbs with GE auto replacement lights from walmart... specifically the ones painted green from General Electric.

Part numbers 194G (replaces T10)

and 37G (replaces T5)

(G on the end of the part number is for green - u can get them in blue and red as far as I know as well etc. )

Matched the green factory dash lights the best from what I've seen... I have never stacked blue/green covers though as previously mentioned in this post.

arrgh!

Drove around sunday looking for bulbs. Did not think of Walmart!!

There is one 2 miles from my house.

Thanks for all the advice! I ordered 6 green covers this morning from Diesel manor. If anyone needs green covers for T-5's, let me know!
