just received new pyro gauge. to many wires. need some help. 5 wires total. red and yellow wraped together i know these go to the probe. next three white wires into one plug,Iam guessing ground, lites, and hot. dont know which is what. all have plug in heads. one is round, the other a flat plug in. and the last is just flat, like it would plug into a fuse box. your help greatly appreciated. thanks alot. God bless america and our troops.

thanks craig, still have a question ,when i hook up hot to 12 volt supply needle pegs out. Iknow i have the ground and lites working but somethings wrong. does the hot need to go some where specific?the neddle just bounces around. Please help anyone thanks.

The red and yellow wires that are wrapped together go to the temperature probe. The probe makes it's own voltage as it is heated by the exhaust. On the rear of an Ispro gauge, the yellow goes to "+" and the red goes to "-". There is no "hot" wire needed for a pyro installation, except to turn on the dash light.

Good Luck,

Charlie

Rod, what's the part# of your pyro? Mine is a R3607TR (EV series). It has one 4 pin Molex plug - from the amp box to the gauge. There are 4 input wires to the amp. The red/white and the yellow go to the red and yellow TC leads, respectively. The red goes to ign. and the black goes to ground. Then, the light wiring is completely independent. Maybe you have something else! Craig

craig, actually its a freightliner gauge made by isspro. when the thermo coupler yellow and red wires hooked to gauge, the gauge reads 0. the ground is right and the lite wire both work. but when i hook the hot wire up the gauge goes crazy. it goes all the up then back down and up half way. maybe i have a bad thermocouple or gauge? got me . maybe freightliner stuff doesnt work on our trucks. theres a isspro store here in portland, tomarrow iam gonna pay a visit see if they can check it. if its bad ill get one of those ev gauges like yours. have you had any proplems with yours? thanks again.

Isspro has good tech support - maybe try them. I'll ask my nephew, if I can get ahold of him. He worked for FL for 15 yrs. I really like my EVs so far! I've only used the truck about 6 times since I put them in. Craig
