4" exhaust & Turbo ????

I have read the TST instructions on the pryro install. My question is since the isspro probe is 1/4" thread instead of 1/8" should I go over more than 5/8" from the center?

Will be putting it in tomorrow hopefully, any tips appreciated.

You want the probe to be in the center (as close as reasonable)... so the 5/8 measurement should still apply.

When I drilled mine, I used a 1/8 to start, and did not drill thru.

Then I used the tap drill, and stopped just short of breaking thru.

Then I greased up the tap drill and went thru, hoping to catch most of the chips in the grease. Then I used a pocket extendable magnet to get as many chips as I could... then a shop vac with small dia hose rigged to it.

Then I tapped... using grease on the tap... and did magnet and shop vac process afterward.

Hope this helps.

It's really a piece of cake.

Good luck.

I dropped the turbo enough to slide a piece of cardboard between to make certain I would have no pieces get sucked into the turbo. Remember the Peter Principle. :) For me better safe than sorry. :{

I just carefully drilled and tapped with grease on the tools. Went fishing with a magnet for quite a while to make shure everything was picked up. All is well and working, just need to finalize the mounting of the amplifier box.

What are normal temps to expect. Cruising down the highway at 70mph is varys from 600-800. Not anything to load it very well (until I load the jeep up in the morning) but I was able to get it up to 950-1000 messing around with it. By the time I get pulled down the driveway and parked in the shed it is down to 300 already.

I would say that is as normal as it gets. Thats about what I run. Every setup is going to be different. You just have to establish a baseline for your set up. Try not to hold or go over 1200 when your pulling if your before the turbo.

Any chips that were left were blown out the second you started. I doubt that even if one made no efforts it would hurt a thing. I know that a jillion have been put on by mechanics at garages without special efforts.

got a tank of non-blended fuel in it today and put in the cetate booster to pull my jeep. Ran much better, can really tell the diff. Did ok and had plenty of power until the wind came up 30mph for a headwind then the steeper hills pulled some. Highest egt reading was just on the orange line on the guage. Running 65-70mph in OD.
