I have just received my ISSPRO Pyro and a "general" temperature gauge with two sensors. I would like to switch between oil and water temp. and have the switch and gauge electrical hookup figured out. What I would like to know is where is the best place to mount the water and oil temperature sensors and are there any special precautions when I do the install?

Thanking all of you in advance.

P. S. Gauges and pilar mount were from Diesel Injection Service out of Lubbock Texas. Great service from their parts dept.

Ski, there is a plug near the thermostat housing(on the top of the block) that can be removed. This is where the sending unit for coolant temp can be mounted. For the oil temp sending unit on mine I removed the factory oil pressure sending unit,(located on the drivers side of the engine near the end of the power steering housing) installed a tee and had a hose made that feeds oil up to a manifold mounted on the fire wall. There I mounted the oil temp sending unit.

For power you need a ignition hot 12 volts. I installed a painless wiring unit (Geno's Garage carries these). They come with 4, 20 amp ignition hot circuits and 3, 20 amp always hot circuits.

Good luck
