Isusu vs Cat vs Cummins

I was cruizing the chevy site when I came across a comparison between the Duramax 7. 8 and the Cat motors of the same displacement , I'm wondering ... wouldn't the Cummins 8. 3 be in the same catogory

Ask yourself one question. Why is the duramax listed as a light to medium duty engin and the Cummin 5. 9 listed as a medium to heavy duty

(ASK YOURSLF ONE QUESTION = YOU MUST THINK I'M STUPID) I'm talking about the 7. 8 litre inline 4 valve per head duramax and the Cat 3126 7. 6 litre engine which are both med to heavy duty just like the 8. 3L Cummins all in about the same displacement catagory , I,m not talking about the V8 6. 6 verses the inline 5. 9... ... . sorry didn't mean to get rude

What I think is funny is the new Bad Boy from Duramax is an INLINE 6 CYLINDER!!!! Why didn't they keep it a V-8? Oh yeah, a medium to heavy duty diesel is typically an I-6... ... ...



Now, if the Knuckleheads at DC would make a true Crew Cab, I might not have to buy a GM or Ford... ...

Actually I have found that you can buy a straight 2500 Dodge and convert it for about the same as the price of a Pford Crew.

Try bayerauto.com . Dodge put out one of the first crew cabs, then got away from it for some reason. Probably didn't have much of a market for em back in those days.



Back on topic, the Izuzu 6 has been around for awhile and is in the same catergory as the Cat 3126 and the Cummins 8. 3 .

It is a pretty good engine and has been used extensivly overseas for years. The Cummins has the most in this level of engine. You have a 250,000 base waranty and 330 HP 1050 TQ range without beefing it up. Then you can take it much, much further.



If you get into the heavy rigs, I think the Cat 600 hp has them all beat at this point. At least for dependability. I have not had a chance to drive both, but understand the Cat has a slight edge. The Signature is a fine engine though. I don't know if Izuzu goes into the heavy duty catagory.

What am I doing wrong??!!!

What am I doing wrong here??!!! Whenever I loaded the pictures onto my post, they worked fine. I went back to the post the next day, and they are not showing up!!! What's the deal??! Am I uploading them wrong. First I uploaded them to my webpage, and then I took the link for a picture and copied it, and then went to post the link on the site by clicking on the IMG button in the post section, and then pasted the link there, and after that was all said and done, I checked it and everything was ok. Now it's not working. Can anybody else see the pictures on my post, or is there an x in the space where there is supposed to be a picture?
