New Crate engine option for smaller rigs......

Help ID a P Pump?

Hi there
I'm looking to buy a used truck just have as a dump runner and short trips around town, no towing or anything. I found a 1978 F350 that has an engine swap with a Isuzu 6bd1t Diesel. The guy selling it said it was done in the 80's by a RV dealership for towing purposes. Just wondering if anyone know anything about the engine, or other swaps using this engine or really anything that applies to this situation. All I know is that it's a 6 cylinder with a turbo. I have never owned a diesel so I don't really know squat. I would have a shop take a look before I buy it but just wanted to see what info was out there. Trying to avoid getting myself in deep in something I don't know about. Attached are a couple pictures of the engine. Thanks in advance for any info

That looks like one of those swaps that starts with "well I have this engine sitting around", but that doesn't mean it's a good idea. I'd rather see an FE or 460 in there over some obscure Isuzu diesel. Run away, quickly...

I think it is pretty cool and looks nicely done. Isuzu engines are very popular in those little "NP" series trucks and parts are readily available. I would love something like this!
