Latest I just got. Orders stopped today on 2004's. Nothing like procrastination. I waited until the last minute... . too late. The new truck can be ordered next week. It IS a 2005. It has 325 hp and 600 ft pds torque. And a cat. Plus other stuff but DC laying low till lots are cleaned off. No cash back. So if you want a cat-free rig grab a 2004. I found just the right one delivered in October. I was waiting for the last minute... . but now I am thinking that 2005 might be alright. geusterman

325 hp and 600 tq. Oh man. I just ordered mine on Monday and now I'm kinda mad. I wanted to get it ordered because no one was too sure about the EGR thing, but if they're just going to have a (removable) cat, shoot, I would've waited one week. Perhaps I'll get fortunate and it won't be delivered until they raise rebates again in January (just speculation on my part). That would suit me just fine, I guess.

I wonder what the "other stuff" is.

I can't verify about EGR yet. I will work on it tomorrow. May be a while before we know. Deliveries won't be til after Jan but we can order next week. geusterman

True. With $2500 I could buy a chip, injectors, exhaust and still have some money left so I guess it isn't that big a deal. Now, if they come out with a full crew cab, then I'll be really mad. That is the one thing that I will miss about my '01 PSD, but having the Cummins more than makes up for it.

I think the body is the same but you guys who want a bigger cab end up with a bigger truck. I like the compact 4 door. Usually just one aboard anyway. geusterman

Don't be so sure its a easily removal cat. Some cats are dual and as well as in the exhaust pipe can be incorporated in the manifold itself. Remember lean burns!

What about the software on the autos to work with an exhaust brake?

Also something you guys may be over looking. My current CTD is an 01, but I ordered in Jan 00 and took delivery in Feb. 00. Thus buy Keeping the miles down a little and shopping for an 04 I was trading 3 years up. I was able to sell mine outright and am trying to order an new one, It looks like I upgraded for $. 11/ mile or $3300/year.

Just a thought for those who trade more often.

I see Dodge's retarded website lets you select Ram 2500/3500 for "Build and Price" but after you enter your Zip Code they take you to the 1/2-Ton trucks without any explaination why. Gotta be irritation for those who aren't in "The Know. "
