Probably gave that driver a surprise. Hard to believe, but when I lived and worked in Toronto, Canada, one evening waiting to start work the long dip under a railroad line was flooded, you'd be surprised to see the number of cars entering the water even when seeing the driver of a car five cars ahead standing with his driver's door open in water up to his waist, looking around in a daze. It was a long slope each side of the dip so cars in the rear had a good view of what laid ahead but it did not stop them from trying. (that's what I call perseverance) It looked like a Hollywood spoof. (there's no such thing as a Dumb Animal)
