20 October 1977, Lynyrd Skynyrd fans take a gut shot this week when they learn that band members Steve Gaines, Cassie Gaines, and Ronnie Van Zant have died along with three members of their entourage in a plane crash in a swamp near Gillsburg, Mississippi …



I was in 7th grade.



ON EDIT: I failed math class that year...

It was 30 years ago! (damn I gitten' old. )

Yep still remember that day... ... guess I'm getting old! The Zoo radio station in Dallas Tx. played there music all day long as a tribute.

YOU'RE OLD??? Two days later, Oct 22nd, I was getting MARRIED!!!

All Good though... Monday we celebrate 30 years married and I just turned 55 in August.
