What browser and version are you running WRStrong? and what internet security software are you running? It's probably a setting on your system that isn't letting the menu's work.

I am running Internet Explorer 5. 50. No special security software, (firewalls etc). Security settings indicate that Java is enabled.



Any help is appreciated

It should definately work in IE5. 5. You are running NO net security software!? No anti-virus or anything? I hope that's not the case. I suspect you are running at least AV software - check it to see if it's blocking Javascript - some do. Also check to see if you have any ad blocking or anti-popup software - that could do it too.

Something else I thought of. Do you recall getting an email about a potential virus that had you look in your windows\system32 folder for a file named jdbgmgr. exe with a bear icon and told you to delete it? If so that's your problem. That was a virus hoax and that file is necessary for Javascript to work on your PC. Look for that file and if you can't find it let me know and I'll point you to the instructions to restore that file.

Try the Firefox browser, it handles java far better on my dinosaur computer than IE ever did, I assume my 266mhz P2 qualifies as a dinosaur :-laf

Try 192 mhz P2... I just hate to spend the money when this system really does allllmost everything we ask it to do.



Steve, The JDBG... file is still there. Must be something else. I will follow up on your other suggestions.

Actually, I found that file in my windows\system folder. It is not present in the windows\system32 folder.



Perhaps I should try to restore the file(?)

When I got my DSL hooked up, It has a firewall inside it that has to be set to low to run the Java, maybe something that comes from your server needs to be set. I have also found out that the service pack 2 from Microsoft ( XP ) can make a problem in your firewall setting too. Found that out last week. Hope some of this may help out.
