Please take a look at this. . . . .

any chapters in north central texas?

I'm a member of BigD in Dallas and recently moved to Austin. Is there a local TDR club or do we need to start a new one?

I'm from Elgin (thats just 20 mins. down the road on 290) and I would be a part of that club. I'm part of one in Waco. I go to school there during the week at TSTC but come back most weekend's. PM me and we'll get something going.

I live over in Lexington, but work in Giddings, I'd be willing to make a road trip for something more in this area as well. You guys keep me posted.

I'd try to make some weekend events down there. I split my time between Dallas and Giddings.

Wolfman, looks like you've been busy posting since August... . 4. 5 millions posts??? :)

I can think of a least 8 more members who live in the immediate area. You can meet many of them at Kerrville next month.

Excellent, I believe we have a new club.

I would like to hold a get to know everyone meeting before the rally in Kerrville Oct 9th and 10th. This way we can show up in force at our first annual rally. We will also need good name ideas like CTD(Central Texas Diesel) club.

Let me know whether a week day or weekend day would be good. Also, we should come up with an idea of meeting places. For example, the BigD club meets every second Saturday at a breakfast cafe called BICs.

I would also be interested. I live in the Killeen/Ft. hood area, but I am currently in Iraq. I would like to be part of this club as soon as i get home though.

Sounds like a plan... I'm out in Vegas 'til Monday... maybe some of the San Antonio guys will probably show up too.

Hey Cowboy832... . get home safe... and soon...

I would like to have the official first meeting on Saturday October 2, 9AM at the Dorsett221 truck stop in BUDA. http://www.dorsett221.com/ What better place than a truck stop to meet a bunch Turbo Diesel fanatics. They might even have some diesel, but that's a story I'll have to tell in person. We can sit down, meet some new faces, have a bite to eat and talk about the new chapter. Hopefully, those that may not be able to make it can catch up with us at the rally in Kerrville the next weekend.

Anyone with ideas or suggestions can reach me at;

Make sure you get home in one piece. My heart and prayers are with you guys over there. Six years in the USMC, aftermath of the first Gulf War, I can only imagine what you guys are going through right now. You guys are heros in my mind, here's to ya. . . .

Who'd be interested in a private dyno-day for our newly formed group? I'd be happy to open up this weekend and do some testing for some of you Austin area guys (or whoever wants to wander in. ) The shop is near Elroy, out near the Austin airport. Sound like fun?

Brian,

I would certainly jump at the chance to do a private dyno. I'll bet we could convoy on over to your shop after the meeting.
