Here I am

It's about time for an Austin, TX club

Thanks, TDR Staff

Please take a look at this. . . . .

any chapters in north central texas?

We can test anytime. Unless a heap of people show up at once, I think I can work ones and twos in no matter what. It's not a lot of drama to set up for a run, but I do have to move the dyno outside for the diesels, so give me some heads up that you're coming out if you don't want to wait.

We may or may not have a herd of local Mustang guys show up this weekend. I agreed to be available Saturday and Sunday for them, but I'd be more inclined to test the diesels than the Mustangs. Let's just say I've been bitten hard by the turbo diesel bug, and I gotta show love the the crowd. . .

I am interested in starting a club in Austin for sure!

Also, my best friend lives like 2 miles from the 221, so I think I may have to make it!

Also, how much for dyno runs?

I tried to get a club going down here in San Antonio, but we just dont have the crowd. . Kinda stinks, but I would be more than willing to go to Austin to have meetings, instead of once or twice a year, ya know?

So... For Saturday, COUNT ME IN!!!!

Price for the dyno tests depends a bit on how many people want to test. If I've got five or more, I'll do it for $45 a test, two or more $50 a test, and onesies $60. This is kindof a special hookup for TDR members, but if you bring folks outside of the group with you, I'll honor the same pricing for them as well.

Could we invite some of the Ford guys to come out and dyno?? That would definitely get some people to turn out! Just curious, because I know some of the ford people in Austin, and I am sure they would jump on the chance to come dyno! Just a question... .

-Chris-

Sure. I'll test anyone who shows up, Dodge, Ford, Chevy, Yugo. . . . it'll be interesting to see how things compare.

I'll be at the Oak Hill car meet at the Albertson's parking lot at "the Y" tomorrow evening (Saturday) with the dyno for sure. Not doing any testing, just a static display meet-and-greet type of thing. I'll try to make it for the breakfast thing as well. I've got a 'dyno day' going on Sunday afternoon that you're all welcome to attend as well. Let me know if you're interested.

Okay, even though it rained like hell all night and my wife doesn't think anyone will show, I'll go ahead and be there. I'll be in a white 2WD pulling a white 6x12 trailer. I'll have my cell phone with me, give me a call at 214-796-7701. If you guys are gonna call it off, do it soon so I can go back to sleep!!!!

Despite the rain, I think we had a pretty fair turnout for our new Cen-Tex CTD club, or CTD^2. It was nice meeting you guys, and I look forward to seeing you all and visiting much more at Buckhorn Lake next weekend!

I agree

:) I think that 9 guys & 8 trucks turning out in a pouring rain to establish a new chapter is great! Thanks, Dave for setting this up. It is certainly going to be fun & informative. Looking forward to the next get together. It always a pleasure meeting new people with like interests.

The weather straightened up nicely after about 5pm, and we took the dyno to the Oak Hill car/truck gathering at the Albertsons at 'the Y. ' Nice and dry out, so we set it up and set a pretty silver Corvette on it as a static display. Got a lot of stares from onlookers while we set up. Wish we had power and the blessings of the Albertsons store, because a lot of people wanted to test right there in the parking lot. David (Caveman) showed up near the end and got a sneak-preview of next weekend. I just hope it stays nice and dry out. . . . lets be crossing our fingers!!!

Hey! I would like to attend meetings from time to time. I live in Tyler but the girlfriend lives in Dripping Springs so lets just say the Cummins keeps the road hot most of the time.

Keep me informed.

The meeting was good even thought it rained. We had a few people stick around longer than I expected. I only had 8 people sign the list. I think we missed one or two. The new website is up. http://www.ctdctd.com

I still need volunteers for officers.

Yes, the miles are racking up with the drive to Drip!

Plus I am in sales and my territory is TX,OK,LA, & AR. I am going for 500,000 on this truck.

Hope to make a meeting in the next month or two

MadMike

The next meeting will be the second Saturday in November. It looks like that equals Saturday the November 13th.
