it's almost here-now how do I ...?

Got an email from my dealer saying my truck should be ready for pickup on May 13. It's a 2003 HO, 6-sp, with dealer installed Jacobs exhaust brake. I've also purchased a Prodigy trailer brake controller.

Now that the truck I've been talking and thinking about for a long time is nearly here, I have to face reality. I've never driven a diesel. I really don't know how the exhaust brake is properly used. Where to mount the brake controller? What about EGT, Boost, & perhaps other gauges? Which to get and where to mount?



You guys helped me pick out my truck. Now, how do I drive it? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I would recommend that you get EGT, Boost and if you are towing, transmission temp gauges. You can get them at a variety of places, but you can start at www.genosgarage.com. Most folks mount them in the A pillar guage mounts, but there are dash mount options also.
