My windshield washer low resivior light now comes on even when filled... some freeze around the sensor,? or something more concerning like battery weakness... all other metrics perfect... oil/fuel filter change tmrw

Our 2013's the techs would try to run the orange RainX stuff and it would do the same. We just run the blue stuff with no more issues ever since making sure it's always the blue stuff.

I don't know if FCA ever addressed that back then till now. Some others will chime in.

What type are you running?

RainX! Thanks for the feed back...Back to only blue,,,? Thank u very much for the response

I tried some other than blue and got the low fluid light also. When I know tank was empty, replaced sensor and it had a slime on it! I'm sure the additives caused the false readings and back to only blue in the truck!

Nothing but the orange rain-x in my 2018 and no issues, same goes for my 05 and nearly every other rig. It’s the only washer fluid I have bought for over 20 years. I did have an issue with the sensor in a 2002 Jetta but I think it was a bad batch of rain-x as I cleaned the sensor and it was fine, but it could also have been a previous fluid, or mixing, as it happened shortly after buying it in 2010.

IMHO anything other than good ol 20/10 wiper fluid is horrible. Sure it will bead but when there is a light mist and you need to be hitting the wipers it leaves a nasty film.

It could just be a fluke, but I had six 2013's at the time and I would say 5 of them had issues with the orange stuff.

Mixing maybe was the cause or it was just that one or two years and they made the fix.

Maybe try cleaning the sensor can't hurt.

I looked it up and the same sensor has been used from 08-22 I noticed it has an AB at the end so something changed at somepoint, can't figure out when that changed happened, could have been a while.

Sensor is less then $5.

I think the drain, clean off sensor and fill with even the orange stuff might be a good try.

If you can see the part number of the sensor and it ends in AA wonder if they updated the sensitivity.

Been using rain-X orange also for years no issues... I like the green stuff, really cleans off the NC bugs, but it doesnt like the cold.
