I need to paint the wheels I think white or grey

I started to get lazy on the prep on the doors so up close you can see its not a pro job but its good enough for me Im happy with it it took me about 3. 5 hours to lay all 5 quarts of paint on it

painting is no joke

yesterday I pulled all the masking off drove it out of the barn & thouroughly washed it with a red scotchbrite let it sun dry today I re masked it sanded a lil & sprayed

I used good products & all said & done I think & have just under $500 into paint & materials

Im stoked;)

Oh I left out one of the best parts the power wasent turned on in the barn so I fired up the welder turned off the main breaker in the barn shoved a couple of cotter pinns in a wall outlet plugged the female of the extencion cord onto that & the other end into the welder & viola I had lights & a wall socket near the back door where I plugged in the fresh air mask pump I borrowed from a friend

you should have heard it I had the welder running at 1800 rpm (4 pole generator 3KW@1800 RPM) & the compressor wide open at 3Krpm it sounded like a herd of lawnmowers out there:D

on my current service truck the bed & boxes are full single wheel bed. on the new truck my compressor & waste oil will live between the cab & bed the welder on top of the drivers side box my tanks for cutting will go inside the passenger side front box & since they will be inside a vented box & mounted securely I can leave the regulators on so now I wont have to setup & break down every time I use a torch & the other boxes are so big & abundant Im pretty sure I wont fill them all YET! I just have to figure out where to put the jack so I dont have to lift it up & down from the bed

so the bed will be empty an empty 9 foot bed Im happy I can now go get lumber & stuff if I need to & not borrow someone elses truck ;)

the more I see it the more I like it it has been a long project Ive been working on it for 2 months or so in my spare time if there is such a thing Im not happy unless Im busy all the time anyway;)

take care

here it is almost finished I was mounting the mirrors & I broke the right window drilling holes to mount the mirror:(

good thing I have spare windows in the old doors;)
