Finally got my ATS manifold, B1-04 Turbo, PacBrake and full 4" exhaust with a donaldson 34" muffler. Truck runs GREAT!!! It is also whisper quiet, the turbo makes more noise than the exhaust. I still have to fix the pressure switch on the exhasut brake but everything else is 100%. The new turbo is really great, great boost, no bark! On the freeway the boost is down about 3-4 psi and the egt's are down 75* or so. The turbo seems to like fuel to get it spooled up, with the boxes in the mid settings the bosst is around 32 to 25 lbs. With the boxes turned up it hits 45 lbs pretty quick and stays there. All in all I couldn't be happier! Many thanks to Jeff K and John at Floor-It Diesel Performance for all the help. Now I'm think injectors!!

I run around with the VA on 50% and the Xiliraider on 60. When turning the Xz box to 140 it runs really good. With the VA all they way up I get a lot more power but the egt's are still too toasty for me. Thats why I'm thinking injectors, more fuel with less duration so it cools down some hopefully.

M085171 Donaldson

ok thanks, I have that p/n down as the 40".

You mentioned it was very quiet. That is good. The open chamber in the center is a built in resonator chamber then. interesting design. hence no drone.

So, just to confirm, it is unlike the 51" Donaldson M090544 which has a crimped center and is not straight through per say. I was considering it as I am looking for quiet performance if I can get it.

My current 24" straight through is too loud.

Yes the total length is 40", 34"'s of muffler with 3" long pipes out both sides. There was no center crimp that I could see, just the center resonance chamber.

Any before and after MPG numbers?

Didn't really do it for the mpg's so I wasn't really watching. My truck has alwasy been in the 19 to 21 highway range and 17 to 19 city. Last few tanks have been mostly highway and they have been 21 mpg.
