I just started my truck and I noticed little balls of soot puffing out of my tail pipe. It puffs out in waves and falls to the ground like black snow. I was amazed out how much was on the ground after just a few minutes. I had to sweep it off my driveway. The truck idles fine and it has decent fuel pressure. Its just below freezing right now.

I just put twins on (35/40 & S400) and it never happened before when I had my HTT 62/14. I've ran Mach 5's with both configurations. I would understand a puff on startup but this can't be right.

Is my VP-44going?

It's probably just moisture that built up in the exhaust from hot/cold. As the moisture comes out it freezes & comes out as snow. It may just be the added pressure blowing soot out of the pipe..... I'm only guessing, but if it doesn't clear up... . you may have other problems.

Truck is fine Dave. Perfectly normal. Try running stacks on a white truck. :-laf

Thanks for the replies. I sure hope its okay. My buddy with stacks on his truck told me he couldn't stand near his when it was cold because soot would get all over him. I just never noticed it when I was running my single charger.
