How can you tell...

Lettin' 'em know...

If it wasn't illegal to do so, I would like to join with a 1/2 million people that are willing to pledge (with arms, ammunition, and keen vision) to take our Country back from the likes of the ACLU!!

The ACLU is calling for the removal of all crosses from government property. Sure will make a big change at all those military cemeteries when they win that battle!

huh?? What kind of organization is the ACLU?? I am confused... I am a conservative and a devout christian and would never support a group that wants to remove crosses from cemeteries.

I think I will pass on signing that crap... I am confused over their intent. I support upholding our freedoms as spelled out in the constitution. One of them is the freedom of religion... so why are they wanting to take that away??

What a mess. Stay away from the ACLU!

Phil

Oh... what was I thinking... it is the A C L U !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I musta been sleeping)

uugghh...

Stay away!! I believe their motives to be truly evil and perverse!!

:{ for our Country and it's future. Igonorance indeed is bliss.

I'm reminded of a story that was circulated around the net that the ACLU was sueing the Government to have all the "crosses" (Christian) removed from Arlington National Cemetary. I was PO'd but decided to call the ACLU and ask about that story. Guess what? The ACLU had no such suit and they said they would NEVER bring such a suit against anyone. Religon *IS* associated with burial and should remain so, according to the ACLU spokesman I spoke with. Funniest part is that there are NO CROSSES in Arlington National Cemetary, they place monuments over the graves. I let the donkey-butt that sent the the email know how ignorant he was. He never responded... Must have realized (too late) how ignorant he was.

and let me know how many crosses you see. :-laf

The point is that MANY such bogus stories circulate the net. Check out with the ACLU and determine the details before propagating nonsense and making yourself to be a donkey-butt by circulating "I heard... ".

I'm sure MANY others (who are capable of independant thought) have read the post and signed the petition but are too smart to post here.

I wonder why a "Good Christian" would circulate a defaming story and not even care enough to verify if it is true.

Guess it is true that it is easier to believe a lie than to LEARN the truth.

Well yes, the ACLU sucks!! Ask them about how they support the Second ammendment, see if they'll help you regain your gun rights.

From the ACLU webstie: Read and decide for yourself.

The death penalty is the greatest denial of civil liberties. Read more on why the ACLU is working toward a moratorium, and how you can help:

ACLU to Ask the Oregon Supreme Court to Provide Same-Sex Couples With Protections of Marriage (12/15/2004) PORTLAND, OR - The American Civil Liberties Union will appear before the Oregon Supreme Court today to ask the court to rule that the Oregon Constitution requires that same-sex couples receive the same legal protections as couples that get married.

PHILADELPHIA -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania today praised an appeals court decision striking down a Pennsylvania law requiring private and public school students to begin each school day by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance or singing the national anthem. The Third Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that law violated the First Amendment rights of students and private schools.

WASHINGTON -- The American Civil Liberties Union applauded the Senate's decision today to allow the District of Columbia to finally implement its long-awaited domestic partnership law and to spend local funds on a needle exchange program, calling the vote a victory for the democratic and civil rights of District residents.

Guess we're not gonna talk any more about the ACLU wanting all Christian Crosses removed from cemetaries

If you cant win, change the subject.

Actually SOP for rednecks

I'm sorry. I apologize. I'm a REDNECK. I'm just practicing to take over for Dan Rather.

"Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God" Jesus

And I seriously doubt the surreptitious ACLU will post everything they support and are working to undermine in America!!

Surreptitious is a BIG word for a REDNECK.

Please read my post again, the ACLU stated they had no such suit nor would they bring one. I believe the FEW crosses you see were privately paid for and are not Government issue.

The problem with the Gay "marriage" thing is this IMO. For DECADES we (conservatives, religons etc) have sat by and watched the Gay community grow into the most protected minority on the planet. Think about this, what have YOU done to stop the growth of Gay rights? This applies to me too, I'm not throwing rocks at anyone.

The Gays are in your Churches, Government, Schools, movies & TV shows. Have any of you written letters to the networks or the sponsers stating your opposition to the Gay lifestyle? I bet 99. 5% havnt (like me), we just grumble and turn the football game back on.

Now that the Gays are producing the TV & movie shows, preaching your sermons on Sunday, styling your wifes hair, and have become totally "socially acceptable" are you REALLY surprised that they want to "marry" each other? I'm not!!! If the religious community or whatever had a problem with the Gay lifestyle then the time to object was when they first came out of the closet, it's too late now. The proverbial cat is out of the bag, and you aint gonna stuff it back in there.

As for me, I dont support the Gay lifestyle or every issure the ACLU is supporting but they, like everyone else, make good AND bad decisions. Overall they are helping keep us free and preserve our civil rights. In this case, post #1 by me, they are sending a good message to the powers that be that WE THE PEOPLE cherish our Civil Rights and dont want them taken away.

I have to be careful because I was scolded by the webmaster here for using offensive language regarding Gays some time ago and as a result I am trying to be matter-of-fact in my lauguage regarding them.

No one is perfect and makes 100% correct decisions 100% of the time. Post #1 is a good cause and just sends a simple message.

Dodge makes more than it's share of engineering mistakes... lift pumps, trac bars etc and I still own 2 of them. If your looking for perfect decision making, you will not find it. The ACLU is human run and you will not agree with all of thier decisions but they are the only ones out there fighting OUR rights.

I'm not a member of the ACLU and wont become one because of SOME of their positions, but this one is worth me jumping on board.
