I thought I remembered seeing something about a filter screen in the FASS DDRP... proves if you search the archives enough, you find something... Recommended Fuel Additive ...

Jeepers, under 'Fuel Filter. ' What a shock.

Point is, I do not ever remember seeing one in my adventure looking for the cause of Erratic Fuel Pressure

However, when I did the bucket test, I used a different Banjo fitting, but the same bolt. Is it possible one is hidden inside of the stock bolt? I had the FASS off, and did not see anything hiding in the inlet port.

Hmmnn... Oh the joy of Diesel. Somehow, it is not so lovely as smell of Benzin...

I put one of these in a relatives truck and dont remember seeing a "pre screen" in any banjo fitting. Are you having issues with the DDRP?

A couple years ago, I installed a Fass DDRP onto a '99 truck. It came with a tiny cylindrical wire screen that you were supposed to install into the banjo bolt on the inlet side of the pump. I discarded it and used a Napa 3270 between the tank and fuel pump instead. I prefer the larger surface area of the inline filter so that if the 140 micron wire screen catches any trash, fuel flow will not be restricted. Also, it is easier to get a replacement and change every couple years.
