Saturday, I boarded a ship in Savannah that had a 46,500 HP diesel. 10 cylinders with twin turbos approximately 8 feet in diameter. The engine was about 50 feet long. Thats the first 10 cylinder inline I've seen. Think about it... 4,650 hp per cylinder. I went in the control room to check a power panel and they had two new valves laying in there ready to install. The valve diameter was about the size of a basketball. There were also 4, 1000 hp Diesel generators. Gotta love it.
