Anyone have any long term experience with the J & J Enterprises stainless running boards. How did they stand up? How sturdy is the hardware? How difficult were they to install? Seriously looking at them for my new dually but thought some of you might have some real world experience you are willing to share before I lay out a fair chunk of change. Thanks.

Where can I see these at Casey? I'm waiting on Putco to get theirs out for the 03, should have been ready on 20 Oct. , but not yet.

Running boards

Larry,

Their website is at http://www.j-jent.com/index1.html . They just completed the hardware configuration for the duallies. Email them with your truck info and they will send you the part numbers and prices. I am looking at the Classic Tube Tapered Boards with matching front stainless splach shields and rear mud flaps. I thought they would look good on my black sport. What do you think? I looked at the Putco Boss boards but I think I like these better and I think the hardware is first class. J&J sent me some installation drawings and I like the way they attach to the truck with welded brackets.

Cheers, Casey

When I was in the market for running boards I looked at the J&J's, Putco's and the Stull's, all stainless steel models. They all looked good but I ended up with the Stull's and really like them, mainly because they were the cheapest of the three. I bought the tapered tube model without the bed piece. After mounting they were solid as a rock, my only complaint was that the mounting brackets were not painted very good so I repainted them. Also, be warned that running boards are more labor intensive to install than the the nerf bars. They required four holes being drilled in the frame and four in the lower lip of the body. Took me a few hours but was well worth it.

I had the classics on my 96' , they held up well , and were solid as a rock when you stood on em' . If I was goin' to put a set on my 99' they would deffinitlty be my first choice.

I liked the design of the hardware on the J&J boards. Of course I am going from drawings but they seem real solid.

Here is the info for 2003 trucks they sent me earlier this week.

"We just finished prototyping the running boards for the 2003 Dodge Quad Cab Dually. The part # for the classic tube quad cab boards is 8003-0JT, which costs $472. 00. The part # for the classic tube dually boards is 8003-7WB, which costs $336. 05.

The part # for the mud flaps is 182S03-6X, which costs $114. 95. The part # for the anti-sail brackets is W503SS, which costs $41. 65. The front boards do not come with mud flaps. The part # for the splash guards is 8000-G, which costs $19. 95.

Sincerely,

J & J Enterprises

I noticed you are from Hell. We go camping out that way sometimes. Let me know how you make out with the distributor in Flint, especially pricewise compared to retail prices I posted.

Let me know if anyone has been able to mount the Millenium boards on a truck with Tork-Lift camper tiedowns. I'm afraid that there might be interference problems.
