Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) jacobs brake sticking

Have a 01 HO with the Jacobs E brake. It has been working fine for app. 2 years. Two days ago the brake whould not go on, now it sticks closed will not release. Any ideas would be helpful.

The same thing happened to me at 46,000. It was replaced under waranty.

Those things have a pretty strong return spring. If it's sticking closed, try removing the vacuum hose and see if it releases. If so, the vacuum solenoid is probably shot. They have a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty.
