Jacob's exhaust brake

Reading the various forums, It appears that the E-brake problem is related to the auto trans. My dealer will not sell or install the Jacob's exhaust brake on my 05 610 with a six speed trans. Is this the official stand of DC or just my dealer?

My neighbor is having the same problems. He has a couple of 05's with the 6spds for work, he has jakes on his 03's and loves them, tried to have them installed on the new one but the dealer will not... Must have something to do with that new fancy engine emmissions stuff.

Jacobs is redesigning the elbow to prevent installation errors. At least that is what I have heard. The elbow can be installed out of square with the turbo and exhaust pipe allowing exhaust leaks and a potential for fire. Guess the need to protect idiots from themselves.

There's a thread somewhere on the forum here that states that delivery of the Jacobs break should start up again somewhere around mid-January.
