Anyone out there have any experience with Janetty Racing's systems for 24v? I'm just on the verge of dropping the BOMB and can't decide between Janetty, Banks, or Diesel Dynamics. C'mon - help a new guy out!

Depends on how much power you want, and what you want to do with it. Oh yeah, how deep are your pockets. Some of these systems can be very expensive.

Still not as fast as my 97 VIPER GTS (AND NEVER WILL BE).

I can strongly second the vote on Mike at Auto Wurks Diesel. He has done alot of work on my truck and his expertise is second to none, IMHO. The only problem I see for Will is the ride, Tn. is a bit of a trip. As cscpusher stated, what are looking to do with that rig ? Depending on your ability, alot of the bombing can be done by yourself. I'm working off the laptop tonight and don't have my sig. handy, but my truck has mostly BD power in it and I am extremely happy. I think you should get some gauges first. Egt. pre-turbo and boost at a minimum, maybe a oil temp. for the trans. as you have an auto and obviously tow. Then think about upgrading that trans. with a something that will hold what you are planning to use, i. e. , injectors, box, both #ad
. After that it's BOMB's away. Do a search on the TDR for a ton of issues that have already been hashed out, then make your decision. If your riding the fence on a certain upgrade, look around the TDR at the members signature line, find someone with a rig like yours and with the mods. you want and e-mail them. Most if not all will be more than happy to help you out and give some real driven results. My recommondation to you is to call either Mike at A. W. D. if you plan on taking a ride up here or to call Bill K. at http://www.dieseltrans.com/DTTech/index. sht

Back on the desktop, sigs. below. Most of what you see down there, with the exception of the gauges, EZ and cosmetics were done by Mike at A. W. D. That includes the McLeod install. My truck now proudly wears the A. W. D. badge #ad

I have never dealt with auto wurks, and very little with Ted Jannetty... but I do know that one of the most common-sense threads I have ever read on this site came from Ted.

Search for "proper order for upgrades" or a slight variable of that. Maybe someone here has it earmarked and can post the link.

Basically, if you follow this order, you will not hurt something on your beloved Ram.

Installed a Jannetty 4" system on my truck almost a year ago and would recommend it to others. Ted is an honest guy and that goes along way in my book.

You can't go wrong with Ted. He is honest and his shop is tops. He did all my mods, and I'm going up the end of April for a new clutch. It's a long way from Tennessee, but worth the time and distance

I have the JRE exhaust system and its a good system. It needs to have the hangers welded to the pipes, but is no big deal.

Bent6,
Got any pictures of you Buick launching off the line? Post them if you do. That sounds like a deadly quick car! Feel free to fill us in on the details. That ET & trap speed is incredible. Do you use a drag chute? #ad

Don't know how to post a pic on here. The car is an '87 Buick Regal with a SINGLE turbo, Stage II Buick V-6, Fel-Pro Sequential fuel injection, API electronic 2-speed automatic with lockup, full tube chassis, 33x17 Hoosier slicks, weighs 2850#, and yes, it does have a pneumatically launched parachute. The car has run a best 1/4 mile time of 7. 70 @ 179mph, 1. 12 60ft and a best 1/8 mile time of 4. 99 @ 141mph. We are looking to go even faster this year with the addition of an even larger turbo. The car is making around 1300hp and 1100ft/lbs now and the new turbo has the potential to add another 400hp - little V-6 willing! Someone tell me how and I will post some pictures!

bent6 , thats a hot ride . to post pics you need to have them posted on the web and then you add a link to them , photopoint.com is what i use , email katdiesel , he can help you out better .

i also ahve a JRE exhaust , good system , i believe do to alot of whining his new systems have the hangers welded , and the tailpipe is now one piece . he also has a 5 inch system #ad
.

from the sounds of that car you are fairly skilled , mods of the cummins are a breeze , you really need to outline what you want out of your truck and go from there . BOMB wisely .

Will, the only way I know is if the pic. is already on a internet site, such as Photopoint. If you have them up on a site already, just right click the image and go to properties, then highlight the properties tag and paste same between the #ad
. That will post your pic. on this site. If you have photos and don't have them on the "net", photopoint is free to use. Here's their link http://www.photopoint.com/
