I installed the Jardine 4' exhaust and I went from a max of 25 lbs of boost to 27-28 lbs of boost. The stock exhaust is just a big choke point for our Cummins. I'm sure any free- flowing aftermarket exhaust would see equal results but I was really impressed. Money well spent! :)

:) Is it any louder or does it have a deeper sound to it. :D :D Inquiring minds need to know, I'm getting ready to order a 4 inch system for mine. :D :D Hopefully I can get it and have it installed before the wife knows anything happened.

Hey Mundgyver,

Send the wife off for about 2. 5 hrs (. 5 cleanup) and when she returns you will be done :) . The Jardine exhaust is the best sounding exhaust on the market! The deep tone without the drone ;) . Sam

Anthony,do you mind if I ask what you paid for your exhaust, and where you bought it from. This will be my first mod, and I'm going to start shopping. Ken

I have a Diesel Dynamics system which comes with a walker muffler, the system sound awsome, people say that it sounds like a Kenworth coming down the road. :D I also removed the silencer ring and my wife says that it sounds like a jet plane taking off when the turbo spools up:D :D . Diesel Dynamics gives TDR members 20% discounts also.

I was done with mine, start to fininsh, in 2 hours. That even includes the wrestling match I had with the extra long sawsall blade. Get a 6" blade before you start, cut it everywhere you need to, I made 4 cuts.

I can tell a difference in the sound when driving, just a bit louder as it passes under the cab. Outside you won't really hear any difference until you get to the right rear of the truck. Not much louder, nice tone. Several guys came out to hear mine at the Scheid Extravaganza. One was gonna change his aftermarket system to the Pinnacle Performance/Jardine system after listening to this one.

Jerry Jardine was at the Diesel Extravaganza with a cut up OEM muffler. You wouldn't believe the tiny holes the gas has to pass through to get out the other end. There are lots of them in some twisted path that must be a carbon molecule's nightmare. With the Jardine you get a straight thru muffler that does not bend the exhaust gas paths. (I'll check the exact mfgr. and edit tomorrow).

Overall quality is very good, hangers fit in the factory locations without any modifications. I opted for the SS tip and is welded to the rest of the pipe quite nicely. Run a search for exhausts because someone posted a picture of the current tip. You may not care for it as much as other designs but he only offers one. You could skip the SS tip and add one of your choice later.

Sorry I got so long but I am very please with the way it fit in the OEM mounts and its overall sound. I didn't want a screaming loud exhaust system.

Use the WWCD2 page for a great deal.

Mundgyver,

The exhaust sounds very close to stock at idle and up to about 2000 rpm. The sound is a little deeper but not a lot louder. After 2000 rpm with your foot in it you will notice a big difference compared to stock. Sounds great :D

2 Hours.....

Installed mine 2 weeks ago. Took 2 hours including clean up. Sawzall is the way to go. No use, in my opinion, on keeping anything out of the old system. Instructions are vague. The hangars are just that, not necessarily for clamping purposes. Some will line up with joints others won't. They do send all the clamps you'll need though. A loooonng extension is a must. Get to the bolts by the exhaust housing from underneath. Makes it way easier.

Got mine from Pinnacles. Check out the deal on www.wwcd2.com

Sound is great. I seem to have a little drone at 2200 RPM. Haven't had time to research the drone too much. Heard about welding on a piece of angle iron to the tail pipe? Read some old posts on welding it to the staight pipe area? Anyone have thoughts on this??
