New Dodge Mega Cab

limited slip question

I just had a brand new Jason Dimension lid installed on my 2005 Dodge, well after I left the dealer and was 50 miles away I discovered that the optional wing lock (39. 00) did not work, and the hardware was butchered by whom ever installed it at Jason's factory.

I bought the lid on the west coast of Florida and I live on the east coast so going back to the selling dealer is not a good option at this time.

I have emailed Jason on their web site three times and have received no replies back from Jason regarding this problem.

My local Jason dealer where I live is a very poor dealer, they refuse to wash their toppers or lids to install them and make you wash the product at your own home, this is so you don't claim that they damaged the cap or lid you bought and they installed. This is their reason not mine, now gee, if you go home and find damage you can bet they will fight you.

At any rate Jason has let me down big time, I have to shop around for a different product because Jason refuses to stand behind their product, what good is a three year warranty when Jason refuses to reply to you when you have a problem.

I will end up now paying over twice the amount I should for a lid due to this very poor company, Jason Industries.

I am so ****** at this time I want to just have the damn lid shipped back to Jason and dropped at their front door with a big LEMON painted on the top of the lid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone by chance have a phone number for Jason Industries? I can't find one on their web site. I want to let them know I am very upset with their product now that they have refused to reply to me.

DONT SHIP IT, take the time and DRIVE back on over during work hours and shove it off next to there front door!!!!!! and demand a refund, and no sissy shove either flip it up off the truck and break some stuff!!!! Oo. :-laf

Don't tempt me, LOL, I am upset because Jason has not even tried to contact me. :{

I had an A. R. E. cap on my last truck and the local dealer would peal off the A. R. E. logo and replace it with one that was the same shape only had the dealers name and phone number on it.

I did not like that and e-mailed A. R. E. and got a reply the same day and they sent me a new LOGO to replace what the dealer had done.

Great service from A. R. E.

According to Google the phone number for Jason Industries is (574) 294-7595.

Thanks for the heads up on how things work with Jason. I was considering buying one of their Pace series caps, but after hearing your quality woes with them I'm now planning on getting an ARE cap. Let them know when you talk to them that they've lost another potential customer due to the problems you've had.

NO DONT CALL!!! DROP it off!!! ahhaha Oo. :-laf :D

At work the dumpster company after many many calls to replace never did (due to rotting out bottom and 1 wheel missing) we finally took the backhoe and stuck the boom thru the bottom then accidentally "tweaked" it :-laf sure enough they couldnt pick it up with the truck so they sent a new one :D

I bought a ARE cap for my 1998. I needed a replacement gas strut for the back door as one of them failed. The dealer and I made many calls and they always said they had just shipped it. We tried for four months and never had any luck getting one. I finally contacted the mfg. and they shipped one in just a few days. In 2003 I bought a new vehicle and called them. I was assured I would have good customer service. Since then I have e-mailed them three times and got one automated reply saying they would contact me. I never heard from them. This is my last ARE cap. They make a nice cap, but don't help you if you have a problem.

I had a similar experience with Leer. I bought a Leer hard tonneau cover, and my bed got scratched up from the install. It was really stupid, because they could have easily put a blanket down or something. I think the guy's Leatherman was dragged around on his belt while he scooted around under there. I know, it's just the bed - not too big a deal. But my truck was only a week old, and there wasn't a mark on it. I put a Bedrug in there right after that (I should have put it in before the lid went on), so it's still pristine under there (except for these scratches). It just ticked me off, and the installers didn't give a rat's you know what. After their attitude, I didn't want them anywhere near my truck again to try to fix it or anything. So I wrote a letter of complaint to Leer. I didn't even expect anything - just maybe an appology. I never got even a canned response from them. Do you think I'll EVER buy another Leer product again? Not a chance. The scratches are still under there - where no one sees them. I know they're there, but I think it's good for my perfectionist tendencies to live with it. :D
