I have a Jason hard tonneau cover, the lock has never worked due to it being installed incorrectly at the Jason manufacturing plant. To make a long story short, Jason put in 4 locks on this tonneau cover and it still does not work.

I wrote Jason industries and an agreement was approved to upgrade me to their top of the line tonneau cover where I offered to pay the cost difference.

The Jason dealer rep for some reason decided to just string me along with the never ending replace the lock again and let us adjust the tonneau over and over again.

Sadly I tired of dealing with Jason and have now moved on to Leer and ordered one of their tonneau covers to replace this defective Jason Industries tonneau cover.

First lock incorrectly installed by jason, tonneau cover when locked would open right up.

Second lock would not allow key to slide into lock and worked very hard.

Third lock was little better then the second but still not right, this lock fell apart in my hand just by inserting the key to unlock the lid at a store one night. I was unable to open the tonneau cover for two months due to Jason Industries dragging their feet to fix it. Inside parts of the lock had fallen into the bed of the truck.

Forth lock different design and does not fit correctly, hardware had to be ground down just to get the lock to twist. This did not work properly as the inside of the lock still made contact with the top of the lid and would stick open, you can also give this lock a good twist while the tonneau cover is shut and locked and the lock will release both latches leaving the lid still unsecured.

Jason dealer rep had authority to upgrade me to their top of the line tonneau cover from an offer I made to Jason Industries were I would pay the cost difference of the tonneau covers and was accepted according to the dealer rep, yet the dealer rep decided to pull that offer off the table and instead wanted to continue to adjust, grind and bend parts hoping something would stick to the wall so to speak.

I dealt with this for 11 months 2 weeks before giving up.

I just want others to be aware of how Jason has handled this and to be weary of their products.

Many American companies wonder why foreign company's beat them, this is just one reason, the American take it or leave it and if it dose not work correctly so what its your problem we already have your money and we don't care method is what is driving customer's away from American company's and toward foreign company's products.

Jason Industries could learn a few lesson's on customer treatment from businesses like Geno's Garage whom steps up to the plate and corrects problems quickly instead of tossing mud at a wall hoping something sticks.

You're a much more patient man than I.

You would think that businesses these days would want repeat business and word of mouth advertising. I guess when you get big enough, sometimes you stop caring about the customer. Glad you're happy with your new tonneau cover.
