Yep... taken straight from there

Every JASPER complete diesel engine is tested. All running complete engines are live-run dynamometer tested under varying loads simulating in-the-vehicle operation. Units receive a pre-start and basic run-in inspection as well as final run-in and final inspection to assure peak performance and operating efficiency. Horsepower and RPM readings are monitored and recorded at varied and full loads. The engine is completely tuned including valve and governor adjustments.

I wish it could be arranged that they could somehow be our official engine supplier? That way the mad dash to EBAY and other questionalbe leeds can be a thing of the past.

I haven't had any experience with them directly, but the last TDR meeting we had down here a Jasper specialist came and told us all about the rebuilds. It was very interesting learning about what they do. The specialist also was looking for info on the 47re/rh. They are starting to build new high performance transmissions for diesel trucks. I believe they already have one for ford. Thats about all I know.

They also talked about adding high performance packages and wanted to know what sort of numbers we were looking for. Wow, that was a loaded question.

Good to hear. I know a certain Ford that has a little less Power in it's stroke and needs a longblock. :( From what I can tell theese guys have a tightly run ship and that is what this guy expects and was wondering how they have worked out for anybody.

I'll tell with all theese high performance transmission sources it's going to be tough to have a compettative edge. Might as well throw in free lasic eye surgery while you wait right there at the shop. :-laf

I have a couple friends that have used them for replacement engines in their gas cars. They seemed to be pretty nice. No problems with them the entire time they owned them. A guy here at work has one of their transmissions in his Powerstroke. It has gone back for warrranty work once after about 5k miles dont remember what he said was wrong with it. If I recall it was around 2500 for the transmission, but I may be wrong on that. He says he has been very happy with it though.

I worked for Jasper for about 6 years, 1. 5 in the transmission department and 4. 5 in warranty. Quantity is so much more important to them than quality. Build it right now is more important then build it right. I have it from a very reliable source that they have been buying transmissions from some vendors who are held in high regard by many of the TDR membership. I don't have to tell you what they are doing with those transmissions. They are not above stealing ideas and technology and copying proprietory parts even if they are patented. They also purchase copyrighted material and make numerous copies of it. What you see in the videos and literature is not always true, much of it is purely propaganda. The percentage of unit failures they claim is quite deflated. They like to blame problems on the shop or the end user, then the quaility control reports look better. I know of one employee who was fired for refusing to lie about some numbers. You might say I sound a little bitter. I was suddenly fired the day after I got my marriage license and 2 weeks before my wedding. My crime against the establishment involved one of their little numbers games. I was not one of their Company Sheeple. Lets just say I have no problem going to sleep at night. I am much happier now and have a much better life.
