06 Durango Shifter in Drive, Goes BACKWARDS!

Legendary's Super 'Cuda Goes 208 MPH!

I can buy a nice 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with 3. 0 diesel engine for a good price.

Have any of you had experience with the 3. 0 diesel? Durability, Maintenance, MPG, etc?

Thanks for any info

should be ok

You should be ok with this engine as I believe it is the same block that they used in the Jeep Liberty CRD. I had a Liberty CRD for approx 2 years and was getting 22 to 26 mpg with the 2. 8 liter. I have read that you can expect around 18 to 20 mpg with the 3. 0 liter. good luck with your purchase.

There is always the possibility that I'm mistaken, but I believe that is the Mercedes V-6 engine used in their E class sedan and other diesel vehicles.

From what I've heard the truck runs real well. But they only made a very small number of them so who knows. It has a lot of emissions stuff and the Liberty's emissions stuff didn't work worth a crap. That's note a problem for our libby any more. Troll around some of the jeep forums and I'm sure you'll find more info.

It is the Mercedes motor,it has been around in many different configurations for years. It is also in the Sprinter. The mileage is not impressive but the torque is. The way the engine is put together it is very dificult to do many repairs in the car. It looks like the germans expect you to pull it before doing anything more than a minor repair.

No its not. The Liberty CRD was a 4 cylinder, and the Grand Cherokee CRD was a V6
