Jeep Gladiator

I know there are lot's of pics of the Gladiator online but this is one I finally got to take this morning on my way to work.........More Chrysler cold weather validation. Of course they didn't have much to say but the little jeep truck looks cool and rumor is a diesel option will be available in 2020.

I've not spent much time in what I call modern Jeep products (my 05 CRD don't count!) with the exception of a Wrangler 4 door I rented last week when I was out of town. I have to say, it was a high quality vehicle with excellent handling and great 4x4. The back seats sucked but I wasn't riding back there.

They are nice. My BIL commented not much bed space and no V8. I tried to explain what amounts to the small/mid size trucks target a different market. If I were looking in that market, diesel Gladiator would be my choice. I have a 2014 Wrangler 2dr with the 3.6L and Banks upgrades. Its fast, agile, and gets 17 MPG driving it like I stole it. I bet that 8spd auto really optimizes the 3.6L motor. My 5spd does pretty good.

Can't wait to see one in person.

I asked him the question, his reply.
