Mazda,Ranger or Nissan Truck?

If anyone out there needs a second (gasser) vehicle, I gotta tell ya, the Liberty really rocks! It's my wife's car, and except for ground clearance issues, can probably go anywhere the Ram can. Not that it can haul as much, or go as fast, but it's sure-footed, very comfortable (in the "delux" package, not the sport), and has pretty good storage space with the back seats folded down. The power of the 3. 8L engine is darned good for a small gasser. The only complaint I have is with the gas mileage - much less than the Ram at about 11 mpg. But around here, we're doing big hills all day long, so I suppose it's not too surprising. Anyway, it's a fun car to drive, and comfortable enough to let the wife do most of that! :)

my wife loves the thing. If things werent as they are now for me one would probably be in the driveway.

I had a chance to go over one. and for the money I was impressed.

I'm not a fan of IFS, and I'm not saying they did anything great, but what other choices are there at the price. I'm not a small guy and I fit well in the front seat. I love the rear tail gate and glass, works really cool. There are soo many things they did to make it trail ready. including raising all water prone stuff, easy access to the cooling fan connector so it can be disabled for deep water crossing, the engine fueling profile and interlocks are changed when the TC is in LOW. Try and find an SUV at that price that has a real TC and has the towing capacity if the Liberty...
