Jeep liberty

I am thinking of selling my 97 cummins and my mb to get a liberty diesel. Does anyone have any good info on them? It would be a diesel. Any differnce in the 05 or 06?

My wife has a 2005, they stoped making them after 2006, With a chip that thing screams and is really fast. She drives like a nut but gets about 22mpg. Handles like a Go Kart.

I get 24 mpg with my jeep every day. not really any problems so far.

No it is not. I would love to see better milage and I see no reason way we dont get better. But diesel is cheaper fuel and the vehical last 3 times as long. No smog test in ca and no tune ups. Better power and, better resale value. So the big picture makes it a no brainer.

Also there is a pretty well equiped 05 Sport CRD in the classifieds there for 18. 5k.



05 has the 7/70 powertrain warranty, 06 its just 3/36. The last one made was in May, 2006, so you might get lucky and find a new one hanging out at a small dealer somewhere, but you are probably looking at used.



Overall a very good vehicle. My wife loves hers and would buy another.

I will only buy a used one anyway... ... ... But I have to sell my 97 first so it will be awhile. Still making sure it is the route I want to go.

So sad they droped the diesel in 07. :{

Good luck finding a used one,there are not a lot of them floating around. people like them and are hanging on to them especially since there will be none in 07. I was a member of lost kjs and I believe it would be easier to find one in canada. just my . 02
